If you are uncertain as to where to begin, Don will be happy to demonstrate to you the various styles of guitar playing. He can also speak to you about the various types of guitars and amplifiers that are available and offer advice as to what would be the most suitable instrument for your particular needs.

Don has written a progressive method for Modern Guitar. The books are aimed at developing reading skills and cover melody playing, chords, scales and strumming and damping techniques.

Don has also compiled and edited a series of books for Classical Guitar students which cover the basic repertoire, scales, arpeggios and examination pieces.

Consistent with his belief that the Theory of Music is a vital element in the study of any style of music, the study of theory is included in all lessons from the outset. The theory books used have been co-written by Don and Jenny.

Students wishing to sit for examinations can request to be prepared for AMEB, ANZCA, ABRSM or Trinity College exams.
