Our Classical courses are structured to develop your understanding of music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Twentieth century genres.

We will teach you to read music….properly!

Although this is much more difficult and more complex than students first imagine, having this ability is a key factor in opening up the world of music, regardless of style. Having this skill will enable you to pick up a piece of music that you have not heard before and be able to play it. 

If you have to hear a piece played before you can play it – it simply means you can’t read music!

In addition we train students’ aural skills. We believe that just as having the skill to read music is an asset, so too is ability to listen to a piece of music and work it out by ear.

We also teach Theory of Music and Harmony & Counterpoint.
